It may be hot outside, but we have some cool ways to save a few bucks!
1. Change Your Lightbulbs
You may not think this makes a difference, but some bulbs run at more than double the temperature.
Look for deals online or wherever you buy your home supplies and get the right kind of bulbs!
Halogen - 279 degrees Incandescent - 215 degrees CFL - 148 degrees
LED - 109 degrees *
(Plus LEDs last for years!)
2. Change Your Windows
While this may have a large upfront cost, it'll save you tons in the long haul. Old windows let the cool air out and the hot air in...and vice versa in the Winter! So replacing old windows will give you a double savings! BAM!
3. Insulate Your Walls
(and floors)
Similar to the first idea, this may have a decent upfront cost. But it'll pay itself off in no time at all!
